🌿 The Chester Land Trust's mission is to protect protect irreplaceable forests, farmlands, wetlands, and wildlife for the purpose of enjoying our natural resources, open spaces, and unique environment for present and future generations. Board member volunteers work with residents and town officials to identify conservation possibilities and evaluate potential acquisitions. The Land Trust is responsible for 14 open space land preserves and 3 conservation easements, including the charming Carini Preserve, located next door to the bookshop on Water Street.
